Page 170 is a day late, sorry about that... What can I say: I worked on my school assignment four days out of five last week, then fell ill on Friday, probably out of pure relief because my assignment had been handed in on time :p. And though I had started on page 170 during my lunch break on Tuesday, I had to start all over again because I couldn't get the page layout (which was supposed to be more spectacular than the present version :p) to work. My weekend, then, was SO BUSY with social stuff (yes, I'm a hermit, but I'm obliged to attend Hermits United from time to time :p) that I made no progress at all. In fact, I'm already relieved to have found the comic at all, because I'd mislaid it after my 'work during your lunch break at a restaurant'-thing. Go me!

ANYWAY: look at the page number! It's page 170! If you take into account that The Darkest Hour was 119 pages and The Sword of Kings 11, that means that page 170 of Brothers & Sisters is ... page 300 of this comic. That's not too bad, is it? Of course our hero is still only 11 years old, but, well, I have a lot of setting-up to do. It will get better. Really :).

I would have done something special like a giveaway or something, but the page count has taken me a little bit by surprise. I'll do my best to think of something, though :).

***

Arthur has pulled the sword from the stone. Having, in one swoop, freed several British slaves as well as the Irish warrior Morholt, Arthur and his men now try to make it home before they get caught by a Saxon patrol. But they haven't got far when they run into King Pellinore of the Jutes, who challenges Arthur to a fight, gives him a good beating, and then wants to be friends. Yep.

Arthur is wise despite his youth.

This comic is a great achievement.

Awww, you're very kind! It's a good thing that I don't often stop and think what I am doing, though, because when I do, I realise that the way I am going about this is a bit ... megalomaniac. My art teacher always looks at me wearily and with pity in his eyes when I mention the scope of the thing. But I don't care, because I'm having fun and the story wants to be told.

Yes, Arthur is not so stupid, after all. I love that portrait of him in the last frame!

Thanks! -I realised just now that I forgot his bruises though :p.

I have very clear ideas about Arthur at this point, but it is still difficult to write him because his way of thinking and reacting is rather different from mine. (Morgana, by contrast, practically writes herself, as do Gawain and Lot and Cai.) Also, making him flawed but still a person of great potential is a challenge too :p... Do warn me if you think he isn't making sense!
