Long weekend! No fencing on Friday! No art class on Saturday! Let's hope I get something done comic-wise...

As for tonight, I'll be in the cinema watching Loki Thor: The Dark World. With crisps.

Oh and with this page, Brothers & Sisters is officially longer than The Darkest Hour. And I have barely started :p.

I'd be interested what you think of Thor. The WW perhaps wants to go, if I can be dragged from my 'puter long enough... well, we'll see. *g*

Oh, I loved Thor! You're not supposed to think too much while watching (I'm talking about the concept of "death" used in the film, for example), but it was great fun and visually quite stunning in that kitschy Thor way. It was also totally crazy and full of slapstick humour. Loki was brilliant (as per usual) and Jane Foster only mildly irritating (I'm not a fan of Nathalie Portman). There was also positively epic fan service, especially for the female portion of the audience, which is quite a new experience in superhero films for me. I don't go for that, specifically, but I found it amusing as a phenomenon :).

My newspaper gave it only two stars out of five, but I think that is mainly because films of the Thor kind are just not the reviewer's thing. It's a Marvel comics film - "haters gonna hate", as they say. I found it delightfully entertaining nonsense :D. So did the rest of the audience, as far as I can tell - the atmosphere in the cinema was great in itself.

Oh and if you do decide to go, you must absolutely stay until the last second. The typical Marvel teaser comes after the main credits, but the real end of the film comes at the very end of the long credits :). Yesterday only 15 % of the audience was left to witness it...
