I'm happy to say the awarding of the oscars has completely passed me by - I was too busy working. If I had listened to the radio I would have gone completely bonkers: I have developed a sixth sense that makes me snap out of whatever I am doing when I hear the words 'Oscar' or 'Wilde'; I simply must pick up every bit of info. This time of year that can be something of a nuisance, as my sensors go in overdrive for nothing :D.

I have just been studying the trial transcripts (recently published as Irish Peacock and Scarlet Marquess: the Real Trial of Oscar Wilde by Merlin Holland at Fourth Estate); if you want to see how misplaced wit can be, I can recommend this to you :D. I look forward to hearing it dramatised!
And the oscar goes to
