The Paper Bag Files 7 (Snape + Avery)

Yesterday I accidentally spilt my coffee (not the cappuccino, thank goodness, but stuff from the horrid coffee machine) all over my desk. All the paper bags in my stash have coffee stains... The one I was working on escaped though :-). You can find it below.

Do I love me my Desmond Avery! Not that he looks particularly great in this sketch or anything - it's more that he comes in so handy when I need to fill the holes in my Save Severus Snape plot. As Brynhild is not a Death Eater, and Snape is awfully paranoid, there is always the problem of how the heck she is supposed to know what's happening to him and where to find him, for example when he is lying there in the Shrieking Shack. It's not as if Harry would inform her of the fact. But Avery would. And he's concerned enough about Snape to try and look after him. Canon itself has it that they are friends, mwuahaha!
Brynhild and Desmond get along famously; Avery is much more easy-going than Snape. As you could probably tell from the previous paper bag, they share a bit of a history. Whereas neither of them could really understand what Severus saw in Lily Evans, Brynhild and Desmond have both had a crush on Evan Rosier, who cared for neither. I guess that created a bond. Since then, Brynhild has become Avery's fag hag. Severus, by the way, manages to have no idea that his best mate is gay. (In my book, poor Snape is awfully conservative and pretty homophobic. He makes Brynhild roll her eyes all the time.)
So this sketch is part of the story for me, and hopefully I'll be able to correct it (Snape's right leg, to name just one thing, clearly needs correcting in terms of perspective) and turn it into a nice picture.
