"But the duke of Tintagil espied how the king rode from the siege of Terrabil, and therefore that night he issued out of the castle at a postern, for to have distressed the king's host."
- The Romance of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table,
abridged from Malory's Morte d'Arthur by Alfred W. Pollard (1917)

Alas, alack, I'm in a hurry! I'll have to post this quickly. I have a few questions for you though, which I will post later.

I couldn't resist inking the first page with my good old Staedtler pens. (I had drawn a pencil sketch first because I'm bad at this kind of angle of the head - despite the pencils, that still shows, I'm afraid. But I had added some fine detail that I couldn't ink with my Faber-Castells and which I wanted to preserve. Hence the Staedtlers.)

The second page is all brush pen, and the third is a mix.

Opinions?

On the third page, I drew quite a bit of detail and clear outline when it suddenly occurred to me that the point of this page is the mist that Merlin has conjured up. Head, meet desk. So I cheated and while cleaning up the scan wiped out some of the background.

That's it for today. I hope you enjoy the continuation :-).

As always, concrit is very welcome!

What went before:
Merlin's magic has procured King Uther entrance to Tintagel, and Lady Ygraine is cruelly deceived. But what is happening to her husband while all this is going on?

And more tension... you're really good at that, you know? That first image is amazing, and also very beautiful (I simply love his little fingers, I have no idea why *g* ), and the last image with the soliders in mist is also briliant.
