I always get the same result. The conclusion makes sense to me, but I'm so not a scientist. I can hardly count to ten!
*shakes head*

You Are An INTJ
The Scientist

You have a head for ideas - and you are good at improving systems.
Logical and strategic, you prefer for everything in your life to be organized.
You tend to be a bit skeptical. You're both critical of yourself and of others.
Independent and stubborn, you tend to only befriend those who are a lot like you.

In love, you are always striving to improve your relationship.
You have strong ideas of what love should be like.

At work, you excel in figuring out difficult tasks. People think of you as "the brain."
You would make an excellent scientist, engineer, or programmer.

How you see yourself: Reasonable, knowledgeable, and competent

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Aloof, controlling, and insensitive

I got the same result, and so did [livejournal.com profile] sylvanawood, so... maybe the test is rigged? or great minds think alike. (I used to be good at math, though. What's more, I am not at all judgmental, and anyone who says I am is a... never mind.)

I swing between ISTJ and INTJ. This time I'm an ISTJ - the Duty Fulfiller. How boring does that sound?

Being good at math has nothing to do with it. "Scientist" is really a misnomer; a more accurate description for this type is "Mastermind". INTJs are introverted, have a more intuitive grasp of the world, use their heads rather than their feelings when making decisions, and have a lot of attention to detail.

Re: all the people who've just mentioned that that was their result too? Check out this line in the description:
"Independent and stubborn, you tend to only befriend those who are a lot like you."

I know because INTJ is mostly my type (my J/P is a little slidey, and sometimes I'm more of an INTP).

I got ISTJ (duty fulfiller). How unflattering.

But there were many questions where I would have liked to give both answers. Often the answers wren't really opposites.

Well if you're always labeled the Scientist, you can have the Coldplay track as your theme song for life...

INTJ is a good solid Snapish result!

I got INFP - the Idealist. I don't know in how far that's the truth, but I do agree with some of the points in the description.

Anyway, from what I know about you, I'd say the INTJ description does quite suit you. I just think the term "scientist" is not overall appropriate.

Hah! I am an INFJ (what I think Snape is, actually; I agree with Terri Testing there), and I love science and was pretty good at math. I gave up during calc 2 in college because it was getting too abstract for me - donuts and string theory and all that stuff. I couldn't cope.

In other words, I don't think the term "scientist" has a lot to do with the personality type. I think it's just referring to the ability to think things through, which you certainly have.
