Squee! Tidemark won me a banner at [livejournal.com profile] romancingwizard! I'm really happy that it has been so well-received - it does make me feel eager to write again :-). It is nice to be able to upload a new story to my archive accounts... At FA and Petulant Poetess it is still pending, but at Occlumency it is already up, here.

Oh, congratulations!

I've just read your fic - very beautifully written. I loved the idea and it really is a memorable fanfiction. :)

ACK, I'm glad you posted this 'cause I'd meant to go back and leave a review when you originally posted the story to your LJ. I liked it a lot, especially Brynhild. The last line of the first paragraph especially made me grin in appreciation. :)

I did have a question for you, though, and it's one of pure curiosity. Do you ever feel like you have an...obligation (for lack of a better word) to acknowledge Snily? I know you've said that you're most comfortable staying as close to canon as you can manage, and I definitely understand that since I often feel that way myself. But I'm wondering why it is that someone like me, who also tends to at least use canon as a guide (sometimes even the bits I dislike), feels absolutely no need to concede Snily in my stories. I don't think it can be simply that I loathe the ship. Maybe you have some insight?

Yay you!

ETA - I posted this and then realized, Duh, I should read your fic first. But I can't tonight, so I'm printing to read on the subway tomorrow. Anyway, kudos on the banner. :)

great piece- subtle reworking of the new cannon info, I'm glad you gave snily more depth than the 'teen lurve' portrayed in dh (blech!) which felt so un-Snape to me... :)
