Poor [livejournal.com profile] seaislewitch - she got tricked! I am telling you this as a kind of cautionary tale: she didn’t plan to commission two drawings at once, but I proposed the drawing above as an alternative to Night Counsel when they were both still in the sketch stage. Two Slytherins is a picture of the kind with which I feel more secure – no perspective issues and nice close-ups. But [livejournal.com profile] seaislewitch decided she liked both and couldn’t choose between them, and so…

A warning to you all:
If you commission me, take care not to be lured into buying twice the amount of pictures you had planned on buying. Apparently I’m dangerous that way…
:P

Oh, you dangerous creature! This is lovely, and I especially like the serpent and its expression. Who could decide between the two when they're both so wonderful? Sea was wise to take them both. That's what I would have done. :-)

I'd end up taking a dozen or so, if she make them!

Thanks!

I didn't do it on purpose :). Though I did my best for Night Counsel, I wasn't entirely happy with it - so I proposed what I thought would make a better picture. I'm glad Sea asked me to finish it as well :).

SQUEE!

Sigune, you know how much I love this drawing!

You drew my favourite characters with the keen sensibility I was hoping for. You understood the dynamic I was after and portrayed it beautifully in this picture, as well as the other one. The overall style of both is uniquely Sigune. I love that.

It was my pleasure to secure two original Sigune's for Part III of my trilogy. I'm very excited to write the scenes I have planned for these pictures!

Thank you so much, my friend, for sharing your skills with me. *hugs*

Merry Christmas too!

And to you! :)

I'm glad you gave me the opportunity to draw this one as well - I like to do this kind of picture where the prime focus is on the characters not the story. It's also rather exciting to know that you will be writing with the pictures on your mind :)...

Thank you for commissioning me! *hugs*

I loved the first, but this one is even better!!

I love the snake wrapped around the corner, Pansy's thumb--it looks like it's stroking that lovely spot right below his ear, and her lips--she so wants to kiss him!!

Just lovely.

Just for the record, what sort of compensation do you take? Would you do work based on original characters?

Thank you! It's my own favourite too :D - I like the intimacy of it.

To answer your question: I am going to draw [livejournal.com profile] valis2's OFC for her - so yes, I do original characters :). Compensation has so far taken the shape of amazon.co.uk gift certificates.

Aaaah, the lines! The textures! This is awesome and kind of makes me think of them as a couple in a mid-20th-century detective book for kids. You know the type, like Encyclopedia Brown or Brains Benton. But with Pansy (Nancy Drew) and Draco on the case, no criminal will escape!

Must read fic to see how this relates to the story. Awesome!

Hee hee! I don't know the type, but I think I know what you mean nevertheless :). For some reason I like a twenties look for Pansy, and everything else follows from that. I like to draw her, even though I'm not sure to what extent she's still connected with canon :D.

Thank you very much!

I think I like this even better than the last one, especially your Pansy, who has such a soft, feminine look, and oh, so much intelligence in the eyes.

But you know what I like even more? The awesome Snapey Christmas card! I love the swishy robes, the pointy shoes, and the lovely star on top! I am "dreaming of a black Christmas" and you've made my dreams come true! :-D I just wish I had a scanner to show him off....

I'm so glad you like the card! :D I was hoping it would be a small keepsake. I'm awfully bad at cooking up texts for my cards, so I try to pour my wishes into the loving crafting of the picture :).

And I'm also happy that you like the second Pansy-Draco better than the first - I do too ;). Close-ups are love... *g*

A lovely drawing. I like the way Draco holds Pansy at her waist.
