Commissions: a Poll

I suppose I am so proud of myself because I finally finished my very first commission that I have started to think about offering to do more. These days I am far too busy, but within a few months I will be without a job and without an income (hopefully not for long, gah), and I will have time to work on order. There are a few things to figure out, though, like subjects (fandom only or not?), prices and shipping and stuff; but before I even start to think about those, I would like to know whether there would be any interest at all... So please take the poll!

Now this is what I call cheerful news. Not only do I have a customer - I have a happy customer who will come back! :D

If I do get this going, I will have to figure something out for the payment and shipping... I don't think I'll be able to arrange another home delivery ;).

Hee hee - yes, flying around the world would be fun, only I would have to charge exorbitant prices ;)...

I think I would do non-fan art, yes. Nowadays my spontaneous inspiration is mostly Snape, but if someone makes a specific request of something entirely different, I don't see why I couldn't do something else. I have promised todayiamadaisy a cat, for example. (Poor daisy, I keep her waiting - but you know all about waiting, of course XD...)

I'm just a bit worried about - well, I do have my limits and I'm very stubborn. I can work on order, but it will still be my stuff. That is, sometimes I do backgrounds and sometimes I don't; or there are things that I think don't work, and then I change everything... It's difficult to explain, but what it comes down to is that I worry that the final drawing may be a lot different from what people expected to get, and I am not willing to make all sorts of changes. In that sense, your drawing was a piece of cake, because the sketch was there already and you commissioned it the way I visualised it.

Hm. Well, they're all worries for later, right? :)

I would be very eager for this actually. I've toyed with the idea of having someone do art for me but never really thought it would be something I would pursue, but having you do it would be quite wonderful. Do let us know when you are ready for such things.

Thank you! I'll certainly make an announcement if/when I start off; and yes, I'll certainly do non-Snape stuff. So far my HP repertoire includes James, Sirius and Peter (Remus keeps giving me trouble somehow, I have to do some extra work on him), Minerva, Luna, Pansy, Narcissa, Hermione, Ron and Harry; I'm also making overtures to Lily and Tonks :). As I told lunafish above, I can do new characters and non-fanart too. Spontaneous inspiration usually bring me things Snape-related, but on request I will thing about other things too :D.

Note: you have heard seaislewitch - she wants to go first ;)...

LOL - you never know I might win the S.N.A.P.E. contest again sometime in the future... The winner hosts it, and hands out prizes, which in my case are drawings :).
