I just sent off an anxious e-mail to the hotel where I stayed last weekend to ask if they had found my comic manuscript and sketchbook. I couldn't find them anywhere and suddenly thought I must have left them back at the hotel - it wouldn't be the first time I did something scatterbrained of the kind. I have been known to leave my handbag, my sketchbook and my briefcase on the train (not all together, to be sure), and if bettyboop_comic hadn't picked my complete comic manuscript off the floor two years ago at FACTS, the whole thing would have been lost. So - I wrote to the hotel, pleading for them to send my things over in case they'd found them.

I - hadn't lost them. I just found them in another bag. You know, the one that I take with me on the train in case inspiration strikes.

I'm hopeless.

BUT I wasn't careless with my comic this time. At least I got that right.

*shakes head at self*

Good gracious, I can't even begin to imagine how you must have felt, thinking of having lost manuscript and sketchbook... *shudders* How glad I am that you simply misplaced them. The other cases - well, it certainly must mean something that it always came back to you or was found, doesn't it? ;o)

The thing is, I have been so lucky so far that it's hard to believe! So I'm worried that next time disaster is going to strike :p. My luck must run out at some point, right?

Also, lately I have been forgetting so many things on the train that now I have a moment of panic almost every time I get off, thinking I must have forgotten something again even when I really haven't. *sigh*
