Watercolour: The Test (G)

Aaaand another attempt to find a fitting watercolour style... Plus, it's not just a portrait this time. Shocking!



The picture illustrates the end of Gawain's training under Conchobarre: his teacher subjects him to the admission tests for the Fianna. To give you a better sense of what is going on, I should have included some pursuers. Gawain's hair has been braided specifically for this test. He must not be caught; he must not snap any branches under his feet; and his braids must not become undone.





I feel like I'm getting closer to what I am looking for. The line art in this picture is fairly stylised, and I didn't try anything convoluted with the colours.

Like or no like? I'd love to hear your opinion :).

Apart from the fact that he looks like Medusa? :D I like it. The trees and hills look great, with all their different shades of green. It all has a very watercolour-y feel about it! :)
