"Between the two sides the outcome of each battle was always in doubt, it being hard to tell which of them was victorious. Their own arrogance was a handicap to the Britons, for they were unwilling to obey the orders of their leaders. This undermined their strength and they were unable to beat the enemy in the field."
- Geoffrey of Monmouth, The History of the Kings of Britain (ca. 1136)

Myes. I intended to post an extra long update, but here I am posting an extra short one. Blame the snow. It has been snowing here for the past week, and it has been so cold that the stuff has actually stayed. It has been a long time since we last had so much snow; it's quite amazing. The snow inspired me to do a large picture - an illustration for Gawain and the Green Knight - and that has absorbed quite a bit of time. The worst of it is: I ended up with pretty inks, but I rather despair of the colouring. I'm simply not a good enough painter to get it right -_-. I'll just end up ruining it.

ACK.

Once I've got over that, I'll do more comic. For now: two pages. On the upside, they feature Morgana :).

Concrit = welcome!

What went before
King Uther is waging war on two fronts and finds that things do not go according to plan. His general Folant is killed by the Irish, and Uther himself is sorely wounded during a fight against the Saxon forces. As rumours about his death start to spread, King Uriens of Gorre hurries to Caer Lleon to propose marriage to Queen Ygraine. Instead of punishing Uriens for his presumption, Uther decides to propose a deal.

I quite liked the snow, actually, even if it made me miss my appointment with Ambiorix :).

Thanks!

If I saw snow, I'd be too excited to do anything at all. :-)

*g* Lucifer-Lucy the cat - cute!

Hmm, what is Uther planning indeed. Giving Morgana to Uriens perhaps? (I really have forgotten the whole story, or what I ever knew about it, so I don't really know.)
