There's really no reason not to participate if you don't want to host the contest on your journal in case you win. You still can come up with a theme and we host it for you on the snapeartcontest site. We just kept the 'host-on-your-own-site' option open, because it is a nice way to get new people to your journal and make new friends.
And if you don't want to come up with a new topic, just tell us, it'll be passed on to the second winner, or the third...
We're a relaxed bunch. You're supposed to have fun and make us laugh -- no obligations or anything. You can even participate and not be part of the contest -- just tell us, then your entry simply shows up under 'special entries' or some such.
