And so, a webcomic...
Friday, 12 March 2010 07:23 pmAs of today, I am the proud owner of a domain on th'interwebs.
In reply to my query of last week, just about everyone who reacted was in favour of making the Gawain Project into a proper webcomic.
sandblind sent me lots of how-to information and convinced me that I should be able to build and manage a website of my own. So I decided to give it a try and bought a virtual plot of land on which to house Ygraine, Morgana, Morgause, Uther, Gawain and co. In the future, you will find them at www.gawaincomic.com.
I know, it is not the spiffiest name ever, but I thought it best to make the domain name as straightforward as possible. The idea is that people who type "Gawain" and "comic" in a search engine will find my story, so... I would have preferred gawain.com, plain and simple, but that domain has been bought by one of those firms who re-sell domains; and sirgawain.com is occupied by someone who sells essays about Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Since I have recently decided that the comic as a whole will go by the name of Gawain (I'm such an original, aren't I?), I think gawaincomic is, well, apt.
So that is the domain taken care of. Now I 'only' have to build a website. :-) I will keep you posted!
