sigune: (Gawain Project)
"And that night, in the great chamber high above the crooning of the western tide, with the white-throat singing in the castle garden and Merlin standing with a drawn sword before the door, Arthur of Britain was conceived."
- Rosemary Sutcliff, The Sword and the Circle (1981)

I feel like a real meanie. I know you all want more Snape, and look what I'm bringing you: more original comic. Please don't ask me to iron my hands. Because if I do that, there will be no Snape either, right?

So here we are, at page 50, and the less-than-nice beginning of the Arthurian epic. It's probably not much of a consolation, but Ygraine will have her revenge one day.

What went before:
Gorlois has come back to Ygraine before the army, as is his custom. But little Morgana's accute senses tell her that something is wrong. And if there isn't, why does Ebrawc, her father's right hand man, stop her from seeing her mother?
