Aheh.

I rarely post pictures of my dolls anymore because I know 99.9% of you really don't care for/about them, though I may bother you with them some more as their medieval look starts coming together...

We haven't reached that stage yet (far from it!), but occasionally I experience the perverse need to show you the depth of my doll-depravity. Read: reveal the size my crew has taken on in as little as ... two years and two months.

My doll family, July 2013

The photo isn't even complete. A few weeks after it was taken, another doll arrived and I placed an order for yet another (tiny) one. That said, I'm getting close to the limit of what I can handle :p. There is such a thing as doll maintenance too - you're never really done with the critters.

But these are my Little People:
Back row: Gawain, Florie, Morgana, Ragnell and, er, Gawain.
Middle row: Florens, Theneva, Little Morgana, Gingalain (will become Owain), Lovell and Little Gawain ("Gwalchmei").
Front row: Kundry, Lucifer the cat, Ladybird and Mokona (whom I received as a gift with Lucifer - he plays no part in Gawain's story, but as a CLAMP fan I'm happy he's here :D).

For your reference: Majestic Morgana is the tallest of all the dolls (on flat feet - Kundry is about as tall in heels) and measures 66 cm. Lucifer is the smallest and measures 12 cm, Ladybird is the second smallest at 16 cm.

Wow, I hadn't thought the collection was already so grown! You certainly have a nice family there, shown in a great family picture. *g*

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind. There is a certain danger, as there are several characters I could imagine having as dolls... but my budget would keep me cautious anyway, which might indeed be helpful then! *g*

What a great collection! My Mum collected tiny ones and I used to try and buy her one if I went out anywhere.

As you can see, I feel drawn more to the large dolls, but the tinies are so cute that it is very tempting to get tiny versions of everyone too :P. I'm trying hard to resist though XD.

Thank you!

Thank you! I am so partial to the Gawains myself that I have several of them :p.

I'm very fond of each of the dolls, but since Little Gawain was my first, he is special.

Thank you very much! They are a lot of fun to work on. For me it feels very similar to toying with my characters on paper, only this is in three dimensions :).

I hope so too! I have been a Scary Godmother fan for years; the doll is just too much fun to pass up... And Jill Thompson's enthusiasm is catching - hopefully it catches enough people.

Thanks for liking my big Gawain! When I started out, I didn't think I was ever going to get a big Gawain doll because I didn't expect to find a head that pleased me enough. But then I did :p. And it is in every way a wonderful head. It is the most amazing quality resin I have ever seen, and the sculpt subtly changes expression depending on the angle from which you look at it. I love it to bits! XD
