Happy Birthday, Severus Snape!

Severus Snape is 60 years old today!

Yes, he is sporting a beard and very long hair these days, and he has mostly moved past wand magic so he habitually wears his wand in his hair. I would have drawn a family picture but life would have none of it. I do have a Secret Snape Project this year, which I would dearly like to carry out, time permitting. More about that later, I hope...

He is gorgeous. I love the Japanese take on him, and that he looks his age. He's grown into a very handsome and centred man, I'm happy to observe, even though he still seems to have a bit of a temper.

There is a whole story behind this that I'll probably never manage to draw - with Snape travelling around the world to learn about magic and, yes, spending some time at Mahoutokoro, among other places. He comes back with a whole new set of skills, a new dress style and his wand in his hair (the latter after his stint in Africa). Also, a beard :p.
