...I think it is quite obvious why I hoped to add this one to the previous batch, but it took me a ridiculous amount of time to get this to look more or less okay. I wanted to do something totally different, but there was too much perspective involved for it to be doable for poor perspectiveless me :(.

Speaking of perspectiveless, I got my result for my first year in art class. There is no grade, but there are ratings ('good', 'sufficient', 'insufficient') for the course's 'general aims' (such as 'mastering techniques and materials', 'developing imagination', 'working independently', 'actively taking part in class activities' - but also 'making deadlines'). The more interesting thing is the comments on the work we had to present during each of the four evaluation moments. One of the things they list under the heading 'Pay extra attention to:' is of course... perspective :p. The others are 'experiment' and 'knowledge of materials' - because I am more of an artisan than an artist. I... know that. And I sort of don't intend to do anything about it :/. Sorry! As for the perspective, I have a feeling I will be struggling with that until the end of my days.

Anyhow... Have a page.

I have an inkling of what you are going to see on the next, but I still need to write the Big Thing. In fact I need to sit down and think it over carefully, but I haven't got a holiday in view. Hm. I'll try thinking it over in bed...

***

Arthur has pulled the sword from the stone. Having, in one swoop, freed several British slaves as well as the Irish warrior Morholt, Arthur and his men now try to make it home before they get caught by a Saxon patrol. But they haven't got far when they run into King Pellinore of the Jutes. Pellinore, fascinated by the fact that Arthur has succeeded in pulling the sword from the stone where everyone else has failed, proposes a deal. He will support Arthur's claim to the High King's crown and put an army at his disposal. In return, he asks that Arthur give him and his people land. Arthur asks his Jutish and Irish allies to swear an oath...

I'm still much behind with the updates, but this one works perfectly out of context, I think. It's absolutely terrific, in every aspect IMHO: drawing-wise as well as story-wise. I love those shadows and shadowing, the hand and lines of the skin, and the folds of the garment...

And crossed fingers for the perspective issues! ;o) *hugs*
